Mavis Pittilla

I personally studied exclusively with Mavis Pittilla. She is considered to be the matriarch of mediums and the highest level of tutors (Instructors) at the prestigious Arthur Findlay College in Stansted Mountfitchet, England and considered as the most influential and inspirational medium of the 20th century. For those of you who are reading this and unfamiliar with Arthur Findlay College, it is the worlds most prestigious college for the advancement of Spiritualism, Psychic Studies, Sciences of Mediumship. Mavis taught there for many decades and carried her passionate teaching to so many in countries around the world. Her integrity, her mediumship accuracy inspiration, science, and the spiritual path of mediumship was always above and beyond.

Mavis has since transitioned to the spirit world, however her students continue to carry her passion and teachings around the globe. I personally feel so honored to have had the opportunity to learn from Mavis because she taught you everything she could about mediumship because she wanted everyone to be at their highest integrity and best at what we do. She always used to say, “Do you want to be a great medium or do you want to be a magical one?” Mavis pushed us and made us work hard for the evidence in mediumship and I just loved her for that. She was loved by so many and is truly missed. However, she pops in to say hello in spirit from time to time to check in on me. I write this in honor of her in how she not only changed my life but also my Mediumship. Thank you dear Mavis. I carry your teaching and love of mediumship, your inspiration and great sense of humor in my heart.

Mavis was born in England, and had spiritual experiences and visitations as a child and through her early adulthood. In 1966, Mavis had a spontaneous clairvoyance and clairaudience experience that changed the direction of her life. She began studying how to learn to control these gifts, and how to utilize them properly.

Eventually, she was then taken under the wing of Gordon Higginson, who was the most knowledgeable and inspirational medium of the 20th Century. Mavis was introduced to the Arthur Findlay College by Higginson in the late sixties and she became a tutor and eventually senior tutor. Her great passion is teaching whether it be the fundamentals or advanced mediumship.

After 50 years of teaching, Mavis continues to travel the world teaching about the spirit, the technical, the philosophy, and the inspirational speaking of evidential mediumship the way she learned from Gordon Higginson. She is currently considered the matriarch of mediumship.
