Mavis Pittilla was born in England, and had spiritual experiences and visitations as a child and through her early adulthood. In 1966, Mavis had a spontaneous clairvoyance and clairaudience experience that changed the direction of her life. She began studying how to learn to control these gifts, and how to utilize them properly.
Eventually, she was then taken under the wing of Gordon Higginson, who was the most knowledgeable and inspirational medium of the 20th Century. Mavis was introduced to the Arthur Findlay College by Higginson in the late sixties and she became a tutor and eventually senior tutor. Her great passion is teaching whether it be the fundamentals or advanced mediumship.
After 50 years of teaching, Mavis continues to travel the world teaching about the spirit, the technical, the philosophy, and the inspirational speaking of evidential mediumship the way she learned from Gordon Higginson. She is currently considered the matriarch of mediumship.
